Rabiosa

Rabiosa is a really great Spanish song. There is two versions one with Pitbull (which is English) and one that is with El Cata (which in my opinion is better because of Sharkira's beautiful Spanish voice). Recommend it, very catchy. Link to the video

Bloody Mary

Bloody Mary, by the one and only Lady Gaga is a great hit! The song is part of her album " Born this way" (also really good!) and is an unusaul song but still great to listen to. Recomened to all.

Scones and Sensibility

Scones and Sensibility by Lindsay Eland is a book about a 12 year old girl who goes on a crazy adventure to find true love for her sister, friends father and neighbors. This is a funny story about the girl, Polly Madassa, who has a summer job in her family bakery as a delivier. One her working hours she "quests" to find each person true love. Great story! Warning: May contain very challenging and romantic words!

When it happens

This book is from my favorite author, Susan colastani. The book is fantastic and i finished it in 3 days. I recommend this book to anyone and hope you enjoy it!
Summary
At the start of senior year, Sara wants two things: to get into her first choice college and to find true love. Tobey also wants tow things: to win battle of the bands and to make Sara fall in love with him. Dave, the boy Sara was hoping would realize she exists, moves in on Sara first. But Tobey is impossible for Sara to ignore. He gets the little things that matter to her and, most importantly, he feels like something real. Can a slacker rock star wannabe win the heart of a pretty class brain like Sara.
The book is told through Tobey's and Sara's voices. "When it happens", by Susan Colastani.

The orginal Lambada

So if you have not heard JLo's and Pitbulls "On the floor"
it is a copy of the song Lambada by Kaoma. Lambada is a Brazilian dance and this is the song to it. I enjoy this version a lot more than JLo's. Same with the music video.

Kanye West's new single "All of the lights" featuring Rihanna and Kid Cudi. The song does not really have a meaning to it but its a nice song to listen to in the car. The music video has a long violin solo at the begining so I would recommend skipping to 1:07 when the real music starts for the song.We are hopping to get this song in Kanye West's new album coming out in the summer called " Watch the throne".

Positively

This weekend I read a great story called Positively by Courtney Sheinmal. * I would recommend any of her books because they are all great and really interesting stories. This story Positively talks about a girl named Emerson who's mom passed away because she was diagnosed with HIV-positive and sadly died from aids. The story is just, so amazing, and really powerful.

Summary

Emerson Price cannot remember a time when life was ordinary. She was four-years-old when she and her mom where diagnosed as HIV-positive- infected with the virus that causes AIDS, and eight when her parents get divorced. Now she is 13 and her mom is dead. Emmy moves in with her father and stepmother but she feels completely alone. Even though everyone has always accepted her, no one- not her father, or step mother, or even her best friend - understands what it's like to have to take medicine every single day, to be so afraid to getting sick, and to miss her mom more than she ever though she would.

When Emmy's dad and stepmother send her to Camp Positive, a camp for HIV-positive girls, Emmy is certain she is going to hate it. But soon she realizes that she is not so alone after all- and that sometimes letting other people in can make all the difference in the world.

The show goes on

Lupe Fiasco created a new song for his new album called ''Lasers'' called "The show goes on". It is a great song, the guitar sounds great, and the lyrics explain how Lupe is rockin off in front of the whole world. And he also explains that he will do the show for his fans. It is a great way to show appreciation for your fans.

This video is great, what a meaning in his words, just aweomse about who he is shouting out to in this song.

I totally agree because he totally understands his lyrics unlike other songs with lyrics about ''puting your hands up''.

Something like fate

Last week I discovered that Border's is going out of business, so I went and found the perfect book. I would say that this book is a wonderful story about how to stand up for yourself and to not be afraid. "Just don't stay in your shell."
Summary
Lani and Erin are bonded for life. One thing that connects them is their fascination of fate. Lani wonders how much of our lives has already been decided and how much we can actually influence. Since the Unknown can unexpectedly change our lives forever, how much can we really control?

From the minute Lani meets Jason, she can't deny the intense connection they share. It feels like she's known him forever. She's not sure if he feels it, too. But it doesn't matter. Because Jason is Erin's boyfriend. Lani is determined to ignore her feelings for Jason, no matter how powerful they are, rather than risk hurting her best friend.

I hope you enjoyed the book of this week's " the great things I seek". The next book will be blogged about next week. Thanks!
